3rd Party Private Taxi Terms and Conditions

Occasionally we may use a 3rd party private taxi company. By accepting a private taxi booking you are acknowledging and agreeing to the following:


- The booking is not being facilitated by Fares4Free or by a trained member of the Fares4Free team.


- The booking is being made on your behalf and Fares4Free cannot be held liable for any issues that may arise.


- It is the responsibility of the Partner Charity who requested the booking to always act as the liaison with the service user.


- It is the responsibility of the Partner Charity who requested the booking, or the service user directly, to cancel any bookings no longer needed, and then notify Fares4Free by email at bookings@fares4free.org .


- Any issues arising on the day are between the service user and the taxi company and are not the responsibility of Fares4Free.


Occasionally we may authorise a 3rd party private taxi block booking. By accepting a private taxi block booking you are acknowledging and agreeing to the following in addition to all of the above:


- It is the responsibility of the Partner Charity, or the individual, who requested the booking, to notify Fares4Free immediately if there are any changes to the original booking request form(s).  The following questions are of particular importance:


1) Does the service user have any significant health problems, impairment/disability (physical or mental) that our driver/escort needs to be aware of?

2) Does the service user need any special aids or adjustments or additional assistance to enable them to undertake the journey?

3) Is there any other relevant additional information or risks that our driver should be made aware of?

4) Is an escort required?


- If there are any changes to the original booking request form(s), or any changes to any of the questions listed above, then it is the responsibility of the Partner Charity, or the individual who requested the block booking, to cancel and stop the facilitation of any 3rd party private taxi bookings with immediate effect.  Fares4Free must then be notified as soon as possible either via email at
bookings@fares4free.org or by telephone at 0141 266 6000.


Fares4Free External Complaints Procedure

All external complaints should be submitted via our online complaints form, which can be found on the contact us page of our website, https://fares4free.org/contact-us.


We aim to reply to all complaints within 14 working days, where possible. If you do not have access to email, please call Fares4Free on 0141 266 6000 and log your complaint via telephone. The Operations Manager will then aim to get back in touch within 14 working days.


If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you can appeal the outcome via The Operations Manager who will then escalate the complaint to the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer will then aim to get back in touch within 14 working days.


Fares4Free General Terms and Conditions

Your use of this site constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions as at the date of your first use of the site. Fares4Free reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online. Your continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified


You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a manner which does not infringe the rights or restrict, or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the site by any third party.


This site and the information, names, images, pictures, logos regarding or relating to Fares4Free are provided "as is" without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied. In no event will Fares4Free be liable for any damages including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, or any damages or loss of profits whatsoever arising from the use or in connection with such use or loss of use of the site, whether in contract or in negligence.


Fares4Free does not warrant that the functions contained in the material contained in this site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs, nor do we guarantee the full functionality, accuracy and reliability of the materials.

Any use or publication of all or any material displayed throughout this website (www.fares4free.org) is strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation from the Fares4Free Chief Executive Officer, Marie Crombie. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring any licence by Fares4Free to use any material displayed.


Documents on this site may not be copied. Some documents and photos have been published on this site with the permission of the relevant copyright owners (who are not Fares4Free). All rights are reserved on these documents and permission to copy them must be requested from the copyright owners via Fares4Free.

Anyone who submits a booking request to Fares4Free must disclose fully, all information, on all service users who are using our service.  This information is vitally important to keep our staff, volunteers, and service users safe at all times.
